This type of technology has been developed since in 1980

It allows obtain electricity from mechanical energy generated by the movement of the waves. 

It is one of the most studied renewable energy sources currently.

This type of renewable energy is quite low in relation to other renewable energies, apart from the investment costs necessary for the implementation of the equipment and tools that allow the correct operation to obtain electrical energy .

In Spain this type of energy is still not used commercially. Only in Cantabria and the Basque Country

Taking advantage of the potential energy of the waves, the devices receive this energy by moving hydraulic turbines. The deposit is located one level above the sea, to which, through a ramp, the waves enter
